Fall 2023 at The Grange


Golden Gate Auxiliary Pig Roast – Saturday, September 23rd - 5 to 8pm

The annual fundraiser supports the GGFPD Firefighters by providing funds for training, equipment and other items which aid our wonderful volunteers in their service to the community. Besides great food, there will be both Paddle and Silent Auctions.

 

Pancake Breakfast – Sunday, October 8th - 8 to 10am

Pancake Breakfasts return in October on the second Sunday of the month from 8 to 10am. Join us for eggs, pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 10.

 

Grange Meeting – Thursday, October 12th at 3pm – New Time

 

Fall Harvest Dance (Organized by the Dance Group)

Saturday, October 14th at 7pm.  All are invited!

 

Holiday Craft Fair – Saturday, October 21st - 9am to 4pm 

Our Holiday Craft Fair has a new date. We will have a wide array of handcrafted items from arts and artisans in Golden Gate and the surrounding communities. Start your holiday shopping early! Lunch and baked goods will be available. Donations of baked goods are always appreciated. You can deliver them the morning of the Craft Fair. Thanks in advance for all those wonderful bakers that donate their delicious treats every  year.  Many new crafters will join our returning favorites!


Trunk or Treat – Saturday, October 28th from 5 to 7pm

Celebrate Halloween at this FREE event. Our little ghosts and goblins, princesses and pirates are invited to show off their costumes while visiting the “Trunkers” for candy treats! If you would like to host a spot as a Trunker, or would like to donate small wrapped candy for the event, call or text Jessica at 720-651-0566.

Wreath Making – Saturday, December 2nd - 10am to 12 noon

We will provide local greenery and other materials that will enable you to make your own beautiful wreath. You can bring a wire base from home or purchase one from us for $5.

2023 - Spring Events at the Golden Gate Grange

Join us for Pancakes on the Sunday of March 12th and May 14th. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, juice for only $5 and $2 for kids 10 and under. On May 14th, Mother’s Day moms eat for free. 

On Saturday, April 8th from 10 to 12 noon we will hold our annual Eggmania event. Bring your hard boiled eggs and we will provide all the materials for decorating and dyeing your Easter Eggs. This will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for the youngsters.

Our Community Brunch and Membership Drive will take place on Sunday, April 16th from 10 am to 1 pm. Both Grange Members and the whole community are invited to attend this free evert. It is a great time to introduce neighbors who haven’t yet joined the Grange to enjoy the comradery and offerings that our Grange provides in Golden Gate Canyon. We will have information on the new Jeffco Lookout Alert System, which all residents are encouraged to join. If you would like to help by bringing a breakfast casserole or baked goods, contact Terri Costeldia at 303 277-0351.

On April 22nd from 9 am to 4 pm we will hold our Earth Day Craft Fair. To sign up to host a table contact Thirza Kennedy at 303 907-7437 or tamk4407@gmail.com.

On May 25th at 7 pm we will have a presentation about the 10-year CSU Study on Mountain Lions in the Front Range. The Golden Gate area was a significant part of the study.

A wonderful way to participate in a community project is to join us on May 21st for the Golden Gate Canyon Road Clean-Up. We meet at the Grange and each pair of volunteers cleans debris from a portion of the road from just below Galbraith Open Space to Crawford Gulch. We will provide you with more information closer to the date.

Couples Dancing and Line Dancing Groups continue to be popular privately sponsored events at the Grange. All are welcome to attend. Randy Patrick leads the Couples Dancing Class and Grange Member, Lori Niquette teaches the Line Dancing. So put on your dancing shoes and join in on the fun! Cost is $5 for Grange members and $7 for non-Grangers. 

Yoga is held on Wednesdays from 3–4 PM. If you haven’t been to a class before, Judy and Susan will provide a class that will offer alternatives for all levels. If we have bad weather, we may switch back to Zoom yoga. Grange meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 3:30 PM. All are welcome to attend!
